Learn Why You Should Use Multiple Blogging Platforms in 2025

The big reason why blogging saw failure isn’t the rise of video content- it’s because we don’t blog where readers are. Therefore, if you want to be a blogger in 2025, you have to blog on more than one platform.

blog on more than one platform in 2025

I’m tired of hearing people claim that blogging died because video took over. That’s far from the truth.

Blogging never died—let me make that clear.

Even its so-called “half-dead” phase isn’t because people started consuming more videos. It’s because videos are shared where the audience already exists, while you’re blogging on a website you just launched.

Do you get my point?

If you didn’t, Read my article “Is blogging dead in 2025?” to understand why I think so.

And your blog will get an audience much easier and faster if you blog right where people already go to consume content. To read articles. To spend time.

Stop being obsessed about your own website’s traffic and focus on getting traffic on your content no matter where.

Let’s discuss each of these points in detail now.

You don’t have to compete with videos

You read that right.

When you say that blogging doesn’t work because people consume video now, you forget one thing. People consume videos on specific platforms like Instagram and YouTube.

But the Internet is much bigger than Instagram and YouTube. There are platforms with millions of active users that focus on other formats of content.

internet is more than just videos

  • Kindle, for example, is extremely popular and it is all about books.
  • Audible, similarly, is about audiobooks and podcasts.
  • Medium, which I really like, is about blogs mostly.
  • Reddit is mostly about discussions.
  • Pinterest is for photos.
  • Threads is getting very popular and it has very little video content.

And you can use all of these platforms to send traffic to your website. But we are not going to talk about our own website for now. We are going to talk about why we should blog on more than one platform and if so, which platforms should you prioritize?

Notice what’s rising now

Instead of looking way too ahead in the future, you should rather focus on what’s happening right now.

Google has changed a lot so you need to observe what’s rising on Google right now.

You need to do your research before you plan your blogging strategy for 2025. Or… I’ve done it for you so you can use my information to speed up your own research.

When AI-Organized Results Arrive, You Be Ready

So, what do we do now? We have to blog in 2025 and we have to make a successful career in blogging. How do we start?

Well, you need to start looking at the all-new AI-organized search results. Google already announced it in the last I/O and some categories are already seeing AI-organized results.

Remember Web Stories?

When Google launched web stories, lots of websites adapted and benefitted by being early. They got lots of traffic from Google Discover.

That’s what you have to do with AI-organized Google search results.

The One Plan You Should Follow For Blogging in 2025

With AI-organized results, you need to follow just one basic rule:

Yes, instead of ranking your own website, try ranking your blog content.

For that, you need to be available in all the sections Google is organizing their results into.

For example: Post on Reddit.

Reddit will rise and lead the forum section of Google search results.

Google has already been giving Reddit an edge and a forum section is already being tested heavily in Google search.

So, when you are planning your next content, add a forum post for that too. That way, if your website doesn’t rank, your Reddit post might.

Make sure you make your Reddit post optimized for SEO by using proper keywords just like you do in a blog post.

Post multiple versions of your article on different platforms

Another thing to do is to make sure you are writing on a topic that you are covering on multiple platforms.

For examples,

  • Seek review websites in your niche and post a review on a similar topic there.
  • Write a version of your article on rising platforms like Medium.
  • Write something on Quora in the form of an answer or a post.
  • Write a smaller version of your article on the Threads App.
  • Fragment your article into multiple fragments and post on platforms like Mastodon and Bluesky.

That’ll increase your authority and trustworthiness in that niche and people might start looking for more of your content too.

And then they’ll fear you!“… Kidding!

Then, They’ll follow you. They’ll look for your content and instantly prefer it over others. Your CTR will rise and you will get more leads eventually.

Notice various types of results in Google search. You can write on most of these platforms.

Observe the SERP in the image above. How many of the websites listed in these sections do you think you can write on? Almost all of these!

It’s a big funnel, but it’s still the best way to blog in 2025.

Okay… So that’s all?

I think I have one last piece of suggestion for you.

Promote yourself offline for your growth online

Oh, how the tables have turned!

Remember when online promotion was a thing for offline businesses? Well, since online businesses have risen insanely in the last 5 years, things have reverted slightly now.

Now, you do your business online but you promote it in the real world among real people too.

See people wearing their brand’s merchandise in public? That’s an example of it.

Organizing or visiting webinars to promote your online business is now a normal practice. Asking people to check your website is a real thing.

You have to promote your blog offline now and you really need to focus on this part.

If you want people to read your content or avail of your service, meet them and tell them about yourself.

I know that for most of the SEO industry, it’s a conspiracy- But CTR has an effect on Google’s ranking. If you rank a little low but you get more clicks on your articles, your rank will improve, at least for the short term.

So, asking people to check your website will make them click on your link even if you’re not ranking at the top. That’ll eventually help you reach a better position in SERP.

So, to blog in 2025, you need to take your marketing into the real world and not depend on online promotion only.

So, What did we learn today about blogging in 2025?

In summary, we’ve learned that blogging is here to stay. The key is understanding where your audience spends their time and reaching them there, not just on your own website.

You don’t need to compete with videos and just focus on platforms that suit your content, like Medium, Reddit, or emerging platforms like Threads.

Adapting to AI-organized search results is essential, so ensure your content is visible across different sections where your audience might search.

Finally, promote your content offline to build stronger connections with readers and drive clicks that boost your online visibility.

The bottom line?

We will make sure we adapt and evolve. Instead of assuming that there is no scope in blogging anymore, we will look for opportunities and we will succeed. Together. Okay?
